About this Event
We are able to compensate our practice leaders fairly AND offer this program for free for all participants thanks to donations from everyday people like you and me. Thank you for supporting community well-being! If you’d like to become a donor, you may do so on our website.
We invite you to join us for quiet walking and mindfulness practices in a small group setting. Every Body Welcome! Our Mindful Nature Walks include periods of quiet observation, movement, and a variety of prompts and activities you may try. This practice is a gentle way to return to a sense of ease in the body and ease in the breathing as we walk near water, big trees, and wildlife and observe the world we are a part of.
This practice is suitable for all ages and abilities. We move at a slow pace, on some paved, gravel, and dirt surfaces. No special knowledge or experience needed. Come as you are and just be yourself!
Thank you for being vaccinated against COVID and taking care to support the health and well being of those around you.
Where: Scott Starling Nature Sanctuary. We will meet in the parking lot about ten minutes before the event time. – Click for Google Map.
Note: Recent Eagle Creek Park changes mean there may be an entrance fee to park at the Nature Sanctuary. Please reach out to Marissa ahead of time if the entrance fee ($5 for Marion County residents) is a barrier to your participation!
We walk rain or shine, except in hazardous conditions. Make sure to dress for the weather!
When: 2-3:30 p.m. on Sunday, March 24, Sunday, July 28, and Sunday, November 24. RSVP to join us! This is part of our Mindful Nature Walk Series that explores greenspaces around Indianapolis. View our full practice schedule for more details.
