About this Event
Welcome! My name is Allison Thomas and I am excited to offer a Mindful Movement class. Together, we will go on a journey of self-discovery and inner exploration through movement. Rooted in the principles of mindfulness, this class offers a unique blend of gentle exercises, breathwork, and meditation techniques designed to cultivate presence and awareness in every moment.
You will learn how to synchronize your breath with movement, allowing you to access a state of deep presence and relaxation. We will incorporate simple yoga postures and encourage slow and intentional movement.
As you move through each posture and transition mindfully, you'll become more attuned to the sensations of your body, the rhythm of your breath, and the fluctuations of your mind. By cultivating non-judgmental awareness and acceptance of your experience, you will be invited to release tension, reduce stress, and cultivate a greater sense of ease.
Whether you're seeking to improve flexibility, balance, or simply reconnect with your body and breath, this class offers a safe and supportive environment for exploration and growth.
I am a Resident in Counseling at Health in Mind, a registered yoga teacher (RYT), and have practiced yoga for over 25 years. I am excited to share the practice of yoga and working with the breath to create a deeper connection to ourselves and each other!
