About the Workshop
Step into a creative sanctuary where art-making becomes an act of mindfulness and renewal. In this hands-on workshop, you’ll collect and arrange reclaimed materials into your own unique mandala — a symbol of wholeness, cycles, and transformation. Guided by artist and facilitator Miranda Ratner, you’ll explore mindful movement, creative play, and the beauty hidden in the discarded.
As you weave colors, textures, and shapes into a harmonious whole, you’ll learn to see the magic in the mundane — and discover how reclaiming materials mirrors our own capacity to heal, reimagine, and renew.
No prior art experience is necessary. Materials are provided, but we encourage you to source your own discarded materials through a trash treasure hunt and start the creative process!
About the Instructor
Miranda Ratner is a professional artist, educator, and facilitator whose work blends artistry, ritual, and environmental stewardship. She holds both a BFA and MFA in Fine Art (Painting/Drawing) and is a 500-hour certified yoga teacher trained in three distinct yoga traditions. Miranda’s workshops weave together embodied movement, meditative art-making, and a deep reverence for the cycles of nature — inviting participants to connect with themselves, the Earth, and the beauty in what was once overlooked.
