About this event
Enjoy a mindful practice whilst learning to draw, or develop your practice with a mixture of short and long dynamic poses from our model of the month. These weekly drop-in session have a mindful approach. If you are interested in incorporating mediation too then try out the weekend and sunday courses coming up.
These sessions are led by Artist and Wellbeing Practitioner Emily Rose from Letgo Studio, and provide an inspiring, creative, relaxing space to unwind mid-week.
Novice, newcomer and old hands from all walks of life are welcomed to a relaxed and inspiring environment to draw freely at your own pace. Develop new techniques or relax in the moment and the mark-making. Forget about everything else for a couple of hours because you deserve it.
We will be drawing from an unclothed model holding a range of poses from 1min - 30 minutes long - exploring drawing techniques and tools with mindful principles.
We’ll have music playing during the session and a short tea break halfway through for hot drinks, biscuits and the chance to reflect and discuss. The session is open to all abilities & levels of experience and
Emily will be on hand to offer any help you need; as this is a drop-in session, you can book ahead or arrive on the day and pay by card.
What you need to bring
You can turn up empty-handed but we encourage you to bring your own materials – some basic drawing materials will be available for free and paper can be purchased in the studio.
Easels, padded backed chairs, drawing boards and small tables are all provided on a first come-first served basis.
