OCTOBER SESSION: We'll be learning some Fall Zentangle patterns, including a spooky pumpkin scene! All tools and materials included, but feel free to also bring your own as you wish.
COST: $15 per person per session, kids 6-12 may attend for half price. (Ask about our discounted prices for Studio members!)
INCLUDES: Workshop space, basic instruction, reference materials, tools/supplies as needed.
SKILL LEVEL: Suitable for anyone, "non artists" to expert level.

This is a monthly gathering to appreciate, practice, and explore approaches/techniques in meditative drawing such as Zentangling, drawing from observation, "slow" drawing, Neurographic arts, and more. Each session, we will practice our drawing skills together in a supportive and relaxed environment. Beginners are welcome!

Studies in Art Therapy, psychology and mindfulness meditation show that certain forms of drawing can help reduce stress, improve focus, foster a restorative mental and physical "flow" state, strengthen one's power of observation, build mental connections, and provide an overall sense of well-being and accomplishment... Not to mention developing an ability that helps you express yourself, have fun, and capture inner reflections and/or moments from the world around you.

Led by a creative arts professional, at each session, we will explore a new design, drawing technique or meditative drawing style. Each assignment will be guaranteed to help you get in the "flow", and will help you build new persepctives and skills. You can also use the time to work on a meditative drawing project of your own, share with the group, trade tips and tricks, and get technical guidance and support from one another and the group leader.

You're welcome to bring your own drawing supplies and reference material to practice with; We will have extra tools and materials on hand as needed.
Drawing supplies may also be purchased in advance from Beaux Arts art supply store in Florence, located just off Hwy. 101 in the Coastal Fitness shopping plaza.
