Mindful Crafting Workshop
Where creativity meets mindfulness: Discover the therapeutic power of crafting at Painted Brain.
Immerse yourself in the calming world of handcrafts at our weekly Mindful Crafting sessions. These thoughtfully guided workshops offer a perfect blend of creative expression and meditative focus, providing a peaceful sanctuary where your hands stay busy while your mind finds rest.
Each Monday, join our welcoming community as we explore various crafting techniques—from the rhythmic movements of knitting and crocheting to other engaging handcrafts that foster presence and self-expression. Our sessions are designed to be accessible for all skill levels, whether you're picking up yarn for the first time or looking to deepen your existing practice.
Special Feature: Our talented Occupational Therapist intern, Tea, will be guiding an exciting neo-futurism playwriting series where you'll collaborate with fellow community members to create unique monologues and group plays—bringing together the therapeutic benefits of both crafting and creative writing.
These workshops offer more than just a creative outlet—they provide:
- A mindful break from daily stressors
- Hands-on learning of practical skills
- Meaningful social connection
- A supportive environment for self-expression
- Evidence-based therapeutic benefits of focused handwork
