🌿 Mindful Birding with Ivie from Wild Forest, Calm MindSunday 28th June | 8:30am - 10:00am
Hewitts Creek, Thirroul
This event is open to all levels of experience, new to birding or simply curious to slow down and notice the birds around you. Suitable for teens and adults.
We will begin with a soft grounding exercise and a nature connection activity, helping participants arrive fully in the present moment and tune into the sounds, movements and rhythms of the surrounding birdlife. These practices are calm and meditative, encouraging a sense of stillness, awareness and connection.
Following this, we will spend time quietly observing birds in their natural environment - listening, watching and noticing behaviours, calls, colours and interactions. Gentle prompts will be offered to support your awareness and deepen your experience, however this is a relaxed and self-guided process.
Please note: This is not a formal bird identification class. It is an invitation to slow down, observe and connect with birds in a mindful, non-judgemental and welcoming space. No prior birding knowledge is required.
