Mind Makers Weekend

The "Gründungshub Oberbayern", an association of six Bavarian institutions of higher education, invites you to an exciting weekend event: The free Mind Makers Weekend - compact, practical, interdisciplinary - and above all: full of energy, innovation and a real can-do mentality!Who is the Start-up Weekend for?The Start-up Weekend is open to all students (Bachelor’s, Master’s, etc.) from universities in Upper Bavaria – regardless of your field of study or previous experience. We’re looking for bold and creative minds who are curious about tackling real-world challenges and want to explore how ideas can turn into action.You don’t need to have experience with the design or start-up process. If you're eager to learn how innovative ideas are developed, and if you're excited to meet like-minded people from different disciplines, this weekend is for you.What to expect?In just one weekend, you'll team up with students from various disciplines to:>> Tackle creative challenges and collaborate in teams Hear keynotes from makers and visionaries

>> Gain fresh perspectives and real inspiration

>> Develop ideas through tech, art, and teamwork

>> Learn the basics of entrepreneurial thinking and doing

>> Unleash your creativity and learn new skills

>> Try out tools and methods from the Start-up world

>> Discover potential co-founders or project partners

>> Connect with like-minded students from various fields

What’s the schedule for the weekend?

Dates: Friday, 28.11.2025 (3 PM) – Sunday, 30.11.2025 (5 PM)

Kick-off: Friday, 3 PM at the Wavelab, University of Music and Performing Arts Munich (near Hauptbahnhof)

Main program location: Academy Seminar Hotel Westerham (south of Munich, transfer included)

Friday: Welcome session & dinner in Munich, then transfer to Westerham

Saturday: Teamwork, creative sessions, input talks & coaching

Sunday: Project presentations with feedback & closing ceremony

Bonus: Certificate of participation for your CV included

How much does it cost?

The program is free of charge. Once your application has been reviewed and accepted, travel expenses, meals, and accommodation will be covered by the program.

What Requirements do I need?

• You may bring your own project or come open to exploring new ideas
• Full availability from Friday afternoon to Sunday afternoon
• A strong interest in creative entrepreneurship
• Motivation to work in interdisciplinary teams and exchange ideas with like-minded people

What happens after I apply?Applications via the online form are open from July 15 until October 24, 2025 (midnight). After the deadline, we’ll carefully review all applications based on your motivation, interest in creative entrepreneurship, and openness to collaboration.You’ll be notified by October 31.
