This week our Mind It group are going on charity shop trail. We all love a good bargain and a rummage in the second hand shops....and Halesowen has lots to choose from . The 'treasure hunt' aspect of finding unique or unexpected items activates the brains reward system and releases dopamine a feel good hormone.
The act of searching through the items requires presence and mindfulness, helping to reduce stress and helps to reduce racing thoughts for a while.
I'm sure whilst we are in town we can find somewhere to go for a cuppa and cake or a bite to eat.

We will be meeting outside Asda ( by the upstairs main entrance ) at 12 noon .
