The intention of this class will be to re-establish a connection to the unified self through embodied movement.Combined with focused intention, embodied movement heightens our awareness and creates inner space for a deep connection and a sense of oneness with our authentic selves.
Using Yogic practices of breath awareness, grounding, centering and liberation through energetic expression, we can manifest harmony and balance in our minds, bodies, and spirits.
We are inviting our spirits to dance.
Dancing with embodied spirit creates an opportunity to free ourselves of disembodied judgment and instead embrace our uniqueness in order to experience a unifying connection to all that is, was, and ever shall be.
Through self-observation we can witness and listen to the wisdom of our bodies.
As we dance through the labyrinth of our own complexities, we fan the flames of our own light, and shine that light joyfully with the world around us.
Dancing releases endorphins, the natural euphoria hormones our bodies create during physical activity.
Dancing is also linked to the production of Oxytocin, the happiness hormone associated with social bonding, and dopamine the hormone associated with feelings of joy and pleasure.
