FASHION PHOTOGRAPHY PORTFOLIO BOOSTER- TICKETS £250 EACH!!

An incredible opportunity to build your fashion portfolio at DCC Studios Hackney Wick east London. Now offering weekly photography sessions & portfolio boosters. This exciting 3 hour fashion photography workshop will feature avant-garde haute couture designs worn by a leading agency-represented model/ professional dancer. The backdrop of the shoot will be a bespoke set design created by contemporary artist Matthew Lawrence.

Maximum x3 photographers per session allowing you to have plenty of shooting time assisted by a friendly member of the DCC team. During this session you’ll be able to deepen your understanding of what goes into creating a fashion editorial, practice working with professional models whilst learning and having full creative freedom of your shoot. Basic lighting equipment including x2 kinoflows x2 freshnel stage lights, c stands and polyboards. All you will need is your camera so you can just turn up and start shooting.

Level: aimed at photographers of all levels.

ABOUT THIS COLLECTION

Min-Ji Kim’s 2023 masters collection, UnIVeRsaLly DoMiNanT!!, explores how fashion carries both social and political messages by looking through the inner workings of Min-Ji’s mixed cultural identity of being Korean with heavy influence from American culture.

Min-Ji mostly takes inspiration from her grandparents, who have endured and participated in the Korean War, and from finding American pin-up magazines from the 1960s in her grandfather's wardrobe.

Her clothes serve to empower people of all genders whilst highlighting the importance of sustainability and transparency of making the garments.

Most of her garments are zero waste due to fully fashioning her knit garments and/or knitting specific sized panels to fit a pattern. She interweaves the materials of knit, leather and glass as a method to convey strength and rebelliousness through experimenting with colour and shape.
