Dear Photographers,With great pleasure, we are announcing that Jahangirnagar University Photographic Society (JUPS) is going to organize an Intra-University Photography Exhibition: Mimesis 3.0
Photography is an imitation of reality. The purpose of this photo competition is to exhibit the talents of JU students and to showcase how they represent their reality through photography. We are inviting you to participate and let your creativity be exhibited.

Submission Period : 26th May – 15th June, 2026
Exhibition Date : 26 June, 2026
Exhibition Time : 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Venue : JUPS Chobi Chattar
░▒▓ Themes and Categories ▓▒░
The theme for this exhibition is open. Both DSLR and Mobile photography (only single photos) can be submitted.
░▒▓ Submission Procedure ▓▒░
** Each participant may submit a maximum of 10 photographs for primary selection.
Photos must be submitted as soft copies via email

•A Google Drive link containing your photographs
(Make sure access is given to:

• The body should contain the following informations:
• Name
• Department
• Batch
• Contact
• Number of photos submitted
Please get your confirmation by posting on the event wall after submission.
The subject of the e-mail should be: Full Name_Contact Number
Example: Afzal Hossain_017********
Rename each of your photos’ soft copy in this format :
Full Name_Name of Department_Batch_Caption (Not mandatory)_Contact
Example: Afzal Hossain_Department of Anthropology_50_Solitude_017********
** Your submission will be disqualified automatically if you don’t rename properly **
░▒▓ Rules & Regulations ▓▒░
1. Open only for the present and ex students of Jahangirnagar University.
2. The Participants must be the author and sole owner of the copyright of each photograph submitted for the exhibition. By submitting the photograph, the participant confirms that the photograph does not infringe on the copyrights, trademarks, moral rights, rights of privacy/publicity or intellectual property rights of any person or entity and that no other party has any right, title and claim on the photograph.
3. Only online entries in JPEG/JPG format will be accepted; with the minimum pixels of 3000 in the longer side and 300 DPI of resolution. No print or film submissions will be accepted for entry into this exhibition.
4. Minimal adjustments (e.g. color correction, cropping, dodging, burning, brightness, contrast) are only allowed. Manipulation is strictly prohibited. No border and watermark is allowed.
5. Commercial / Nudity / Wedding photography and other inappropriate contents are not allowed.
6. The copyright will remain with the photographer. JUPS will have the right to use submitted photographs for marketing and any other purposes that seem necessary for the exhibition.
7. Framed photos will be up for sale during the exhibition days. In case of any sale taking place during the exhibition, the photographer will receive 60% of the price!
8. At the end of the Exhibition, the photo frame will be returned to the participant. Participants are requested to collect their frames, certificates and prizes on the last date of the exhibition.
9. JUPS authority will reserve the right to change anything during the exhibition without prior notice.

░▒▓ Payment Procedure ▓▒░
Only selected participants will have to pay for each photograph. Participants will be informed about the payment procedure after selection.
The winner, the first runner-up and the second runner-up will be awarded with a crest. All selected photographers will get:
(i) Photo with frame
(ii) Certificate
