St. Rita Square is calling all sauce aficionados to compete in Milwaukee's Best Sauce Contest! Like last year, we are including both meat and meatless Italian red sauces, offering participants the chance to win cash prizes, awards and, of course, bragging rights
To enter, visit mkebestsauce.com, where registration is $10 per submission, with the deadline set for May 12. Preliminary judging will take place on May 18 at St. Rita Square located at 728 E. Pleasant Street in Milwaukee. Each contestant should bring 1 quart of sauce in a warming container with a ladle. In partnership with the Italian Community Center, the final round of the contest will take place at Festa Italiana on June 2, promising a celebration of Italian cuisine like no other.
