We here at Milwaukee Record feel everyone deserves an opportunity to day drink in a bar while trying to win food (and other items). In that inclusive spirit, we’re proud to bring back our Meatless Raffle. The second annual 100% vegetarian version of a Midwest mainstay will take place at Cactus Club on Sunday, March 8 from 1-4 p.m.During that three-hour span, we’ll be raffling legitimately valuable prize baskets filled with meat-free delicacies, gift cards to vegetarian- and vegan-friendly local establishments (such as Strange Town, Beerline Cafe, Café Corazón, hoochMKE, Palomino, The Vanguard, Classic Slice, Comet Cafe, Honeypie, Semolina, SmallPie, and more), a variety of beverages, apparel, and other great goodies from Milwaukee Record and event sponsors 3 Sheeps Brewing, Outpost Co-op, and WYNK. In addition to the primary raffles we’ll do every 30 minutes, we’ll also have a few 10-liners going as well as our Prize Wheel.
Adding to the raffle-focused fun is Aaron Miller, who will DJ in Cactus Club’s front room. Oh, and every 3 Sheeps, Cloudless, and WYNK purchased during the event will get you a free raffle ticket. There’s NO COVER to attend this all-ages event. (Raffles, 10-liners, and spins all cost money though, duh!) The majority of proceeds from raffles, 10-liners, and Prize Wheel spins will be donated to Kinship Community Food Center.
Join us at Cactus Club on Sunday, March 8 and try to bring home the bacon (figuratively) during a super fun late winter event that will support a deserving local organization. We’ll see you there!
