A Memorial Service is held at the Cross of Sacrifice and then moves to the war graves section, where the crew of Glider RJ113 (chalk 389) are buried. This glider towed by a Stirling was piloted by Glider Pilots S/Sgt L.J Gardner and Sgt R.A Fraser and there were 21 men from No 1 Platoon, 9th Airborne Field Company Royal Engineers had left RAF Keevil on their way to Arnhem when it crashed in a field called 'Double Hills' near Paulton. They were the first casualties of OP Market Garden.
