About this Event
A milpa is a corn-centered companion planting method that originated in what is now known as Oaxaca. It later spread north and also became known as the three sisters method. Learn about the history of this practice and its cultural significance, and work together to plant one of our own!
This is a series; you can sign up for one or all. Attendance for every workshop is not required to participate. Please only sign up for all if you intend to join all of them, if you need to cancel or reschedule, let us know ASAP.
By attending, you can expect to learn a bit about companion planting, traditional ecological knowledge, pest control, and so much more.
Particpants will be doing things like planting and tending to soil, so come prepared to work outdoors.
