For the first Milonga Tango Bliss event of 2025, we will have a Practilonga, in which Cyla Bagolan and Gustavo Fernadez will be available for guidance, and will include extras that will make this a super fun party that is perfect for brand new and tango-curious dancers as well as experienced tanguer@s. Our class will be suited for all levels, including beginners and Cyla will also lead a warm up class that will utilize the Hula Hoop as a tool for improving flexibility and balance. Don't worry, you don't need to be able to hula hoop as you know it. We'll be using it as a prop, and I will teach you a couple of easy fun dance moves in the meantime.
🗓 Schedule:
7:00-7:30PM Tango Conditioning and Warm-Up with the Hula Hoop
7:30-8:30pm ALL LEVELS CLASS with Cyla and Gustavo.
Topic: Improving connection in your embrace, polishing your tango walk and details of turns structure. This class will focus on the basic elements that beginners need to learn and seasoned dancers need to continually practice, deepen, and refresh. Appropriate for brand new beginners and very useful for experienced dancers.
8:30PM-12:00AM Practilonga with DJ Gustavo Fernadez scheduled with extras as follows:
8:30PM-11:00 PM: The huge room at this venue will be split into 2 parts: One for those that want to practice, and one for those that want to just enjoy dancing. Cyla and Gustavo will be available to answer questions and give suggestions for those practicing.
11:00 PM: Hula Hoop Performance by Cyla
11:10PM-12:00AM: Alternative Hour focused on electronic music, some of which is Gustavo's! The room will still be split in two, one side will be for dacing tango and the other for free style dancing (and maybe hula hoop).

About Us...
Cyla is a life-long dancer originally from Brazil with a background in tango, ballet, jazz, modern, samba, and West African dances, as well as yoga and the flowing arts. For thirteen years, she has primarily devoted herself to Argentine Tango, and her love for community building and the dance led her to teach and organize events. She is also a hula hoop dancer and teaches hula hoop dancing and hula hoop yoga.
Cyla holds a Masters Degree in Education, and brings her additional experience and skills as a professional educator to her approach to teaching Argentine Tango.
Gustavo Fernandez has been dancing tango socially since the year 2000, when he started in his native Argentina, learning from teachers such as Veronica Gai, Daniel Nacucchio, Lucas Galera, Fabian Peralta, Carolina del Rivero and Fabian Salas, among others. Gustavo is a social dancer and an alumnus of the Hartt School of Music, where he earned his Master of Music degree in Classical Guitar in 2007 under the tutelage of Richard Provost. Gustavo is an active social dancer and has taught tango lessons for the Ministry of Tourism in his native Mendoza, Argentina, as well as for the Community Division of the Hartt School and the Yale Tango Club. He believes in an approach that combines respect and knowledge of traditional forms but also appreciation for modern techniques that move tango forward into the future. Gustavo is also a music producer and has created some original electronic music for dancing under the name Gustavo Noli.
