Since it's our New Year Edition and we're adding an extra hour of dancing, we felt you might enjoy some sustenance to keep you going. Something to revitalise those weary Xmas taste buds, something with a bit of zing!So, we've booked the lovely Erika from Cantina to make us a fabulous selection of handmade Mexican snacks (check out the all veggie menu below).
Originally from Colombia, Erika lived in Mexico before moving to sunny Brighton - she's an expert in South American food. Yum!
As catering is involved, we'd be everso grateful if you could give us an idea of numbers attending by ticking the going/interested box - ta very much.
It's Jerry's birthday too. So, typically, he wants to have everyone dancing to his tune...

The Main Bites
Black Bean & Cheese Mini Tacos: Small corn tortillas filled with a hearty, spiced black bean and sweetcorn mash, topped with cotija-style cheese (or cheddar/feta).
Mushroom Quesadillas Triangles: Simple flour tortillas filled with sautéed mushrooms, onion, cheese, and a pinch of the Mexican herb epazote (if available) or oregano, cut into easy triangles.
Sweet Potato & Lime Taquitos: Crispy, rolled corn tortillas filled with a smooth, spiced sweet potato purée. These are easy to dip and very filling.
Mexican Street Corn Salad Skewers (Esquites-style): Corn kernels mixed with mayo, lime, cotija/feta cheese, and chili powder, served on a skewer.
The Dips & Extras
Salsa Trio: Classic Tomato Salsa (Pico de Gallo), chunky Guacamole, and a medium-heat roasted Salsa Verde (tomatillo based).

BUC is a fabulous venue; a charming Regency chapel designed in the 1820's, slap bang in the middle of Brighton. It's light and airy with a lovely, smooth, wooden floor - perfect for dancing.
It's great if you're travelling here, too - NCP "Brighton Theatre" is 50 yards away on Church Street (BN1 1US) and it's within walking distance of Brighton Station and all the central Brighton and Hove Bus Company routes.
Access to Brighton Unitarian Church is via the church hall, down the alley to the left of the Church building, next to Pinocchio's.
