The next Milonga El Sol Argentine Tango Dance SAVE THE DATE
Join us for another festive afternoon of Argentine Tango Dancing on Sunday, October 20th, 2024. We are excited to have Hasnaa join our team for October as co-hostess for Milonga El Sol! As always, enjoy 3 full hours of dancing, delicious snacks and a beautiful venue and floor.
H2O - Please bring your own water bottles to fill at the water station.

WELCOME NEWCOMERS TO TANGO
For those of you new to tango, welcome.
Here are some helpful tips when attending a Milonga.
Dress up! Its a social party
*Milonga - A dance venue where one goes to dance the Argentine Tango.
Cabesceo- The traditional way you invite a person to dance. Making eye contact, accepting with a smile or nod.
Tanda - The DJ will play a grouping of songs (3 or 4 songs). It is tradition to dance the entire tanda with the same partner. If the dance is not going well and simple "Thank you". The tandas will consist of Tangos (4/4), Vals (3/4) and Milonga (2/4)
Cortina - The DJ will play a short 30 second to 1 min non-tango song to separate the tandas. This is a good time to take exit the dance floor, have a snack. some water or prepare looking (cobesceo) for your next dance partner.
La Cumparsita. The traditional last song of a milonga.
