About this Event
Nick Milo recorded, composed and toured with Tower of Power for eleven years. With Joe Cocker, Nick worked for thirteen years including seven as music director. He composed for televisioin and film and currently has two albums, Dancing At Midnight and Morning Rays out with his trio. Richard Smith's sixteen critically acclaimed solo recordings and extensive touring have established him as a contemporary music veteran. He worked with many luminaries in the music world and is a professor of music at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles. Richard and Nick are in East Bay Soul, the nine piece soul-funk band of Greg Adams, horn arranger and founding member of Tower of Power. They've been enjoying performing as a duo together for three years. Along with originals they'll include songs by Pat Metheny and Astor Piazzolla. Special guest will be Sydney Minnerly on vocals singing a set of songs by Joni Mitchell.
