About this Event
Expect a buzzing environment of people and paint! Book your 2 hour painting slot to help bring these street planters to life. Do something nice for the local neighbourhood, and have a bit of fun doing something different!
What:
A planter is a wooden box that you plant flowers into. Four new ones have been specially made for Searjeant Street.
When:
Saturday 11th May & Sunday 12th May
Drop in between 10:30am – 3:30pm
(you don’t have to stay all day unless you want to!)

Information for Parents / Guardians:
Year 6 children at Beeches and Gladstone Primary Academy have entered a competition to design new artworks, which will be painted on brand new planters. Local professional artist Fasiha Ashiq is turning the winning designs into brilliant artworks. The completed planters will live forever on Searjeant Street.
All children who have entered the competition are invited to come along to the painting weekend and help paint the wooden planters. You are welcome to bring along other friends / family to help too.
· Children must be accompanied by an adult and supervised during the painting. Not suitable for children under 7.
· Please wear scruffy clothes – we will provide aprons for young children and bin bags for older children, but you may get paint on them!
· Please book in advance to guarantee your child gets a chance to do some painting, only limited slots will be available on the day. You can book a morning or afternoon slot.
These slots are available:
Saturday 11 May: 10:30am – 12:30pm, 12:30pm – 2:30pm, 2:30pm – 4:30pm
Sunday 12 May: 10:30am – 12:30pm, 12:30pm – 2:30pm, 2:30pm – 3:30pm
