John Godwin from Duck Dynasty
Speaking on all things Faith, Family, Fishing and Ducks. The reality TV star was born in Louisiana on September 6, 1962. Friend of Duck Commander since 2002, he is a series regular on the hit A&E series Duck Dynasty. Godwin has starred in has starred in Duckmen 7-18, The Art of Commanding Ducks, and in Best of the Duckmen also.
Hunter Bland, Yamaha Pro Fishing Team
Meet Hunter Bland, fishing pro and awarded the National Boating Industry Safety Award for “Best Marine Marketing and Outreach,” through boating advocacy work with Yamaha Outboards. He advocates for safe boating on the water through national outreach, video series, television, fishing tournaments, events and social media. He is a member of the life jacket working group that helped draft the first-ever National Water Safety Action Plan and serves as an ambassador for the National Safe Boating Council and a member of the Waves of Hope family. Bland’s goal is to continue to make the waterways a safer place by sharing his story across the country, and ultimately to positively change behavior to eliminate all water related tragedies. A native of Williston, Fla., Bland previously served as a Biological Scientist and Fisheries Technician for Florida Fish and Wildlife. He earned his bachelor’s degree in forest resources and conservation at the University of Florida. Hunter’s had a passion for fishing most of his life, his cellular respect for water safety emerged during his time fishing for the University of Florida. In short: Hunter was in a freak accident where he was ejected from his boat and saved by his Mustang. Since then, he actively advocates for boating safety, especially in the tournament bass fishing scene.

About Outdoor Valor
At Outdoor Valor we provide an escape for Veterans to be free from stress for a day. Whether it be a lifetime of stress or combat stress we provide an escape for them through offshore fishing. Founder Matt Schwanke is a 100% disabled Iraq War Vet. He had been doing a lot of offshore fishing, hunting and long-range shooting and it seemed to help him recover from all of his issues and PTSD He then decided to take some Veterans fishing with him while on vacation in The Florida Keys that summer and made some friends. He then decided since he was already fishing 2-3 times a month why not share it with more Vets. In 2019 we declared ODV to be a Faith based organization. We are committed to healing our Veterans with PTSD. Most of our Vets with PTSD come back for multiple trips as we counsel them through peer-to-peer therapy. Veterans with combat related PTSD have first priority. We don't have any special requirements or any special questionnaires. We think all Veterans have served our nation equally and honorably. I don't think you should be left behind because you didn't answer that guys question "why should we pick you over the next Veteran" or "what happened to you in combat". Just show us your dd214 or your active ID and your good to go fishing with us.
