About the Event:
We're hosting a Millennium Dome Central Show cast and crew reunion!
It has been 22 years since this Circus Extravaganza took place and our current director Lucy Francis was part of the cast, as was the previous director of AirCraft Circus, Alex Frith.
All the circus performers were trained at The Circus Space (now the National Centre for Circus Arts NCCA) in Hoxton, and rehearsed at 3 Mills Studios in Bromley-by-bow, before rehearsing at the Millennium Dome, and performing for the entire year 2000.
There were approximately 90 aerialists, 100 dancers, 50 riggers, stage crew, systems operators, lighting, sound, stage managers, physios, administrators, directors, choreographers, numerous teachers, and many more incredible individuals...
We're sure you can all agree that this phenomenal production deserves celebrating, and thats exactly what we will be doing at AirCraft Circus Academy.
The event is open to all and will include a short film about the journey of the Millennium Dome Experience, followed by a circus cabaret featuring ex dome performers, alongside circus artists from AirCraft Circus Academy. There will be music and the opportunity to hit the dance floor afterwards, and of course our fabulous bar!
