Join us at Heron Corn Mill on the first Friday of the month, March - December, for a fascinating mill tour and milling demonstration!Iain will guide you through our historic 18th century watermill, and teach you all about the fascinating history of milling on the site - all with the rhythmic hum of the mill machinery in the background!
Millwright Stuart will then take over, as he uses the traditional millstones to grind the grain into our artisan wheat, rye, spelt, and Blacksmith wheat flours.
Bags of fresh flour will be available for purchase following the demonstration.
Places for the tour can be booked via our Sum Up store or purchased from the barn on the day.

Our tremendously popular Foodie Fridays mini markets will take place immediately following our milling demonstrations in May – November, where there will be a variety of fresh food and produce on sale in the barn!
Our Bread of Heron group will volunteer their time to craft a selection of artisan breads for sale – all freshly baked that day using Heron Corn Mill’s own stone-ground flours – with any money made going right back into the charity!
We’ll also have mouth-watering homemade pies and delicious cakes from the Kisa Family Development Project, and a number of other stalls selling a variety of locally sourced produce!

The Mill tour and milling demonstration runs from 11.30am to 1.00pm, while the mini market runs from 1.00pm - 3.00pm.
Tickets for the tour are priced at £6.50 per person, with free entry for under 16s. Entry to the mini market is free for all.
