This come-and-go, child-friendly event is designed to give birth workers and birthing folks the information they need on donating and receiving human donor milk.
Talk with an IBCLC and hear a previous donor share their story. Birth workers will learn how to effectively educate their clients navigating supplementation.
- Did you know that human donor milk is available at most hospitals in our area, even though it isn't always offered as an option to many new parents?
- It's quick and easy to become a donor! The screening process is super simple (10 minutes on the phone and a quick trip to a lab).
- Did you know that you can bodyfeed your baby and STILL donate? AND, that the milk bank supplies pumping bags and can help guide you through securing a pump through insurance, Medicaid, Tri-Care and WIC.
Join us, won't you?? Coffee and light refreshments to be provided.
