Ever wondered how today's military museums and private collections started off and developed?On the 27th two speakers will share the story of Malta's militaria, from the start of the National War Museum at Fort St Elmo to the world of private firearm collector with unique historical pieces.
This event is open to all: from experienced collectors to lovers of history and heritage.
The first talk will be delivered by Maria Fenech, Archivist of the National War Museum in Valletta on the early days of the National War Museum Association to the current museum and its archive. This will be followed by Stephen A. Petroni, AMACS founder and firearms expert, sharing his experience with private collections and the challenges faced by both local and international militaria collectors.
This is a unique chance to meet with speakers from both national and private institutions. After a Q & A session, the evening will end with drinks from the AMACS bar.
