The moonlight walk in the Peak District was our most popular choice for the summer do by far - we’re really looking forward to this one. This is a completely FREE event - you just need to bring snacks! We’ll be heading to Errwood Reservoir in the Goyt Valley and you will have two different walk options - there is a short walk of around a mile on a flat paved surface alongside the Errwood Reservoir or for those who are feeling more adventurous we will lead a walk up to the spooky ruins of Errwood Hall. NB: we will not be encouraging people to enter the ruins in the dark due to the varying surfaces and trip hazards around the site.
We strongly encourage everyone to bring some sort of torch as there is no lighting at Goyt Valley. Please be sure to wear appropriate footwear (walking boots are ideal) and bring waterproofs if necessary. Participation in this activity is at your own risk.
We’ll be meeting around 9.45pm to start walking at 10pm and will start the stargazing session around 11pm, depending on weather conditions. The meeting point will be emailed out after everybody has signed up at www.mileshyclub.com/summer-do
