Mikey Kenney is a respected fiddle player, singer, songwriter, composer and multi-instrumentalist from Liverpool.Embracing duality, Kenney is very much the musical outsider artist: both an advocate for English and Irish traditional fiddle music and an alternative and progressive music creator, taking in multiple musical influences from psychedelia, bluegrass to jazz and Italian tarantella. He will perform new material from forthcoming album Tiny Little Light, due for release in September 2025, with Michael Paul Metcalfe (drums) and Hannah Miller (cello). With the exception of two instrumentals, this new album is a collection of songs written around original fiddle tunes in keeping with traditional forms but progressive in their arrangement and instrumentation. Kenney considers it his finest work yet and the truest expression of a life devoted to his craft.
