On Feb 21, 2026, I'll be playing at North Star Lounge, and this will be a gig that I use to self-fund my class challenge in Composition!
Every year, my Composition class present speeches about a nonprofit deserving a donation, after they complete their research papers about a problem of the world. (This is their final exam!)
Each year, I use a gig or eBay score to fund this informal competition where we pick one speech and I donate to their nonprofit.
Last year's winner, Neil, spoke about his grandfather's military service and the Wayne county nonprofit supporting vets. I haven't shared this week's winner until finals end, but it's going to be a good one.
If you buy a ticket, not only will you get to hear her sing some songs, you helping a teacher make his class a little more real!
My set list for Feb 21 will be songs that inspire us to be the long arch of justice. Ozzie Andrews accompany me on bass. My friends Shiny Shiny Black from Goshen, IN open the show.
