Mike Hall Melodic Jazz Quartet featuring Andrzej Baranek

We are honoured to have Mike Hall and his Melodic Jazz Quartet playing at the Millgate, with a programme featuring tunes by George Gershwin, Duke Ellington, and Billy Strayhorn.
Mike is a jazz saxophonist and educator based in Manchester. He began his musical career with the National Youth Jazz Orchestra. He plays with the Echoes of Ellington Orchestra (including performances at Ronnie Scott’s Club), with Andy Scott’s Sax Assault and with his own octet.
Mike is joined by the renowned jazz drummer Gaz Hughes, known for his dynamic ensemble playing, subtlety and energy, Gavin Barras an internationally celebrated bass player, and special guest pianist Andrzej Baranek one of the most highly regarded jazz pianists on the UK jazz scene.
