Come join us for the Mike Daley White Elephant Tournament where we will be rolling dice, having fun, donating to charity and honoring our dear friend Mike.Have you ever gone to a White Elephant gift exchange where you got a random present? This is the same as that, but in Flames of War form!!!
Entry fee will be one unwrapped toy to be donated to Toys for Tots. Each toy that is donated will also gain you one Daley Dice (up to a max of 4). See below for details on how to use Daley Dice.
The rules are as follows -
- Each player will bring with them a 71 point Late War force, including all unit cards (either the physical cards, or a document with the images downloaded from the forces site), or an army book.
- 4 rounds of 1hr 45m will be played.
- At the start of each round, all forces will be randomly assigned to the players.
- Each player will play with each force a maximum of once.
- No vehicles with front armor of more than 10 are allowed.
There will be prizes awarded for the best armies, so take some extra time to build a pretty force, a display board or just make it something unique!!!! Remember not to make it too tough though as you are more likely to see it across the table from you than use it yourself..........
All players will be entered into the Battlefront prize drawing.
Daley Dice - Anyone who ever played with Mike knows that he rolled more than his fair share of bad dice and spent a lot of money trying to find a good set of dice that would not roll a 1.
If you think that your opponent is rolling too well, getting too many reserves, making too many saves, getting too many hits or ranging in too often then you can use a Daley Dice to bring them back down to earth.
To use a Daley Dice, after your opponent has rolled a die, you can discard one of your Daley Dice tokens to change the result of that die roll to 1. That result is final and cannot be rerolled.
Only one Daley Dice can be used per game.
Keep track of how the dice are used as there will be a special prize for the best use of your Daley Dice.
