Pit Weld U-100 focuses on basic metal cutting and fabrication techniques, as well as MIG and TIG welding disciplines in mild steel and aluminum applications on flat bar and tubing. The motorsports/automotive/light production focused course is project based and designed both for the beginner with little knowledge of the trade as well as those with prior experience looking to refine their skills. Additionally, students will learn about welding safety, welding symbols and drawings and become well versed in proper equipment setup and operation. Held on Monday and Wednesday evenings from 5:00pm – 10:30pm, each students' tuition for the 16-week course includes an AWS Certified Welder Test (D1.3 code, multiple position 10ga mild steel test - student choice for GMAW or GTAW). Each class is limited to a maximum of twelve students. Tuition cost is $4,250 plus tool kit and includes an OSHA-10 certification and AWS membership.
