Hosted by Matt Chambers - whisky and spirits writer, influencer and presenter, and co-founder of North London Whisky Club and Whisky For Everyone blog.
4x 5cl samples will be offered (that's a double pub measure x4) with detailed explanation of each whisky from Matt as we walk and talk. Each of the whiskies has been hand-selected by Matt to tell a story and have a light, summery theme.
Meet at Pond Square in Highgate village, N6 at 6.30pm. Bus routes 143, 210 and 263 stop very nearby and can be boarded at Archway (Northern Line / High Barnet branch). Highgate underground station (also Northern Line / High Barnet branch) is 12-15 minutes walk.
Walk is approximately 2.5 miles and will see us take in Highgate village before heading down and across Hampstead Heath. We will walk by the Highgate Ponds and Boating Lake, before heading across the Heath and along the gorgeous Lime Avenue. We will finish in Hampstead village with the possibility of visiting a local pub.
* PLEASE NOTE / This is not a guided tour of Hampstead Heath but a whisky tasting event. It is a leisurely stroll to sample and learn about whisky, ask questions that you have always wanted to ask, sip and savour, and take in the scenery and fresh air.
Finish at Hampstead Underground station (Northern Line / Edgware branch) at approx. 9pm.
No previous whisky knowledge needed, just enthusiasm and interest.
Individual North London Whisky Club hipflask for each guest (worth £10) will be provided, which is included in the ticket price and that you can take it home.
The group will be limited to ensure the health and safety of all guests and your host. Hand sanitiser will also be provided.
Please bring a bottle of water and we ask all guests to Drink Responsibly.
Strictly over 18s only. Please bring ID if you are lucky enough to look close to that age.
Please dress appropriate to the weather forecast as we will be outside for the full duration of the walk. We keep our fingers crossed for a lovely warm and sunny evening.
