The Sarasota Piano Trio is an ensemble based in Sarasota, Florida.
Pianist Jesse Martins, violinist Milene Moreira, and cellist Nadine Trudel first collaborated while working together at the Sarasota Opera. They were initially approached to perform a concert for the students of the Sarasota Youth Opera. While researching repertoire for this concert, they discovered a wealth of lesser-known pieces that they felt had been overlooked and deserved to be heard. This discovery inspired them to officially form their ensemble, leading to a series of performances that have garnered praise for their intriguing programming and expressive playing.
