Kick-off the summer season and spend the solstice reveling in all things Shakespeare! Director Taylor Millar and producer Brad Dell will provide insights into this year’s production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream (accompanied by performances from a few cast members), and local Shakespeare scholar Shannon Johnson will take us on a journey through history and teach us more about the bard. Laura Michelson from Grinnell College Libraries will be in attendance with a copy of William Shakespeare's second folio published in 1632 from the Salisbury House Library Collection. Each ticket includes a complimentary beverage ticket, custom personal pan pizza hand-crafted by Lachele's Fine Foods, and charcuterie. Cash bar will be available with beer, wine, or alcohol-free selections.
Tickets are $50 - event proceeds benefit this year's production of Shakespeare on the Lawn.
