🖤 Join us for a mystical and magical afternoon at the Old City Cemetery in Lynchburg VA for our Midsummer Gothic Tea Party!

🪦 This whimsigothic family-friendly event welcomes children of all ages to immerse themselves in the enchanting ambiance of the cemetery's beautiful historic grounds.

🖤 This is a time a great time to relax and take some self-love and self-care. Step away from stress work worries ugliness the hustle and bustle and the everyday mundane. This is for you! Meet new people catch up with old friends or enjoy it solo. Everyone is welcome! You needn't be a goth or similar subculture to attend. This community is very welcoming and non-judgmental. This is a safe event and space for all.

🍰 🫖 Indulge in beautifully unique locally made all-natural nontoxic teas and an assortment of delectable nibbles. Please note: tea treats will be served as classic afternoon tea style (not a full meal) versus brunch or lunch tea. Enjoy fancy intricate tea cakes cookies finger sandwiches pastries scones and biscuits while surrounded by the serene beauty of the cemetery.

🎩 Dress in your finest elaborate Gothic and Victorian attire and participate in an optional best-dressed contest. The winner will receive a dark and mysterious tea gift basket! Capture the elegance of the day with one professional photo included with each ticket purchase featuring a Litha Midsummer-themed backdrop. 🌙 Reflect on the Litha (Summer Solstice) and its profound connection to the earth nature and humans. Engage in enlightening discussions and readings that celebrate this historical time of change.

🧺☕️Feel free to bring your own personal tea set picnic basket and blanket or quilt to relax on the cemetery lawn. This is a close-knit community event so kick off your shoes enjoy the atmosphere and mingle with friends.

☀️This will be a hot one so please plan accordingly and protect your precious gothic skin from the fiery sun. Don't forget vampire 100SPF sunglasses parasols hats veils sleeves hand fans gloves and anything else that will help keep you comfortable and cool on this beautiful but surely toasty day so that you can stay as long as you please. We will be prepared with cold tea alongside our hot tea cold water and a tent for the tabled food and products. We also plan to locate a little closer to the protection of our magnificent tree guardians along with the shade of the nearby Shrub Garden. We are exploring more ideas for cooling off in the meantime.

**Important Notes:**

- Treat the cemetery grounds with respect. This is a place of rest for the deceased and a space for people to mourn. The cemetery administration has graciously welcomed us and we aim to ensure we can return for future events.

-Please pick up after yourself and dispose of trash accordingly.

- No sexy or revealing costumes. This is a family event.

- No alcohol drugs marijuana or smoking at the event or anywhere in the cemetery.
