Levon Helm Studios Presents "Midnight Rider - A Tribute to Gregg Allman" The 2024 lineup features Scott Sharrard (of Little Feat, Gregg Allman Band), Arleigh and Jackson Kincheloe (Sister Sparrow), Peter Levin (Gregg Allman Band, Blind Boys of Alabama) and many more! Directed by former Gregg Allman Band sax player and musical director Jay Collins.
Once again, Midnight Ramble/LHS saxophone player Jay Collins, brings his annual Gregg Allman birthday tribute to the barn! They will perform many Allman Brothers favorites penned by Gregg, and also sprinkle in some of Gregg’s classic compositions from his various solo albums.
“This year, I have guitarist and singer Scott Sharrard joining us. Scott and I spent many years together playing in Gregg’s band, and then also spent a few years on the road playing with Little Feat, a gig Scott still does regularly. Few people alive today know this music better than Scott! In addition, keyboardist Peter Levin, who played with us in Gregg’s band, is coming up from Nashville to help us out on keys! Also this year, I am looking forward to having singer Arliegh Kincheloe (AKA Sister Sparrow), with her soaring, gritty vocals come into the fold, and her brother and band mate Jackson Kincheloe on harmonica. This will be a great line-up to help us celebrate the music of
my former boss, and friend, Gregg Allman!”
