Midnight Matinee with John Schnall

Featuring program creator/host/DJ/animator John Schnall, the event will include numerous related music videos, plus an interview/discussion including Rich Hazelton, host of WFMU’s "Inflatable Squirrel Carcass" program (where Midnight Matinee stills airs 3-4 times per year).Since the late 1980's, Midnight Matinee has been entertaining and wowing listeners with its jaw-dropping leaps of conceptual connectivity, forming humorous, unlikely parody-filled gaps between divergent mainstream icons in unexpected ways. This event is a coming-full-circle moment for the program which began as audio only broadcast (and streaming) experiences, over the years the shows have inspired Schnall to create numerous animated video-mashups, presented on big screen for the first time.
