Midlothian (&EastLothian) Outdoor & Woodland Learning Spring Skill Share Event
Info: Join us in the beautiful grounds of Clifton Hall School, Edinburgh for a fantastic day of outdoor learning, sharing practice and networking. Throughout the day we will be running 3 workshops each ran by our experienced and enthusiastic MOWL members. Workshop 1
Dianne Kristofferson (www.wilderoutdooreducation.co.uk) A cooking session incorporating foraged ingredients. Looking at different ways of making bread - Dutch oven for loaves, griddle for flatbreads/chapatis and sticks for damper bread. We will look at simple foraged ingredients to add into dough or put on top of cooked bread.
Workshop 2
Ian Anderson (WildAwake) Respect your Elders - a practical worship of our forgotten ‘tree of life’ the elder’. With a choice of making: whistles, woodpeckers, wands, spud guns or jewellery.
Workshop 3
Donna Strachan (www.bigwildlife.uk) Paracord craft - Book binding and bracelets. Donna will help us weave/twist/knot and tie some magic into an afternoon of crafting and creating.
