Join us on Sunday, May 19 at 6 p.m. for readings from Midlife No. 2, the second and final anthology on midlife — in all its glories and woes — by a group of authors who are all 1990s-era alumni from the Gateway student newspaper at the University of Alberta.
The book is a “pandemic project of former colleagues coming back together in midlife and ruminating and telling stories and getting real.” Volume 1 sold out at Upstart & Crow last year, and we expect this one to be a big hit, too!
At this Vancouver launch, we’ll hear from the book’s co-editors Sarah Chan and Jhenifer Pabillano, as well as Vancouver-based contributors Erika Thorkelson, Kate Rossiter, Iva Cheung and David Zeibin.
This is a free event, but please register for your spot on this Eventbrite page, as capacity is limited. Books will be on hand for purchase.
About the editors:
Sarah Chan (MA) is a musician & writer, teacher, social advocate, yoga toddler (RYT-200), and mother of two. She operates a private piano studio, seeing over 30 students every week.
Jhenifer Pabillano, PMP, is the co-publisher and co-editor of the Midlife anthologies. In her day job, she is a Project Manager with the City of Vancouver, working on strategic corporate projects for the City’s Engineering Services department.
