🥾 9½ miles 🥾 Moderate 🥾 Leader: Vicky 🥾A lovely 9.5 mile walk in the Yorkshire Wolds. We head out of Huggate along a quiet road and soon descend a steepish path to Holm Dale. Following paths and tracks, we pass through the grounds of Wold House Farm, with its lifelike bronze statue of its former foreman. The walk continues on, heading downhill through the wooded Tundale and through the grassy valley of Frendal Dale and eventually pick up the Minster Way, which we follow back to the village.
This walk has beautiful views of classic Wolds scenery and is undulating, with some steepish uphill sections out of the valleys. It is very likely there will be livestock in the fields we pass through, so while dogs are welcome, they must be kept on a lead at all times.
🅿️ Car park on Driffield Road, a short distance from the village, with an honesty box payment
It is not a particularly large car park, so please consider lift-sharing where you can
🐶 Dogs are welcome, but must be kept on a lead at all times
☕ Afterwards, we can have some post walk refreshments at either Rachels Walnut Cottage tearoom or the Wolds Inn pub
🥾 Due to the nature of the terrain and the high chance of mud in places, please wear appropriate clothing and boots
🥪 You will need to bring a packed lunch
