🥾 8 miles 🥾 Moderate 🥾 Leader: Michelle 🥾This is a lovely circular walk from Chop Gate in the North York Moors with some great climbs, sweeping views and fascinating rock formations.
We leave the village and head up onto Cold Moor, gradually ascending for around the first hour of the walk. We will have fantastic views across the moorland as we reach the Cleveland Way. We will reach the Wainstones in time for lunch and spend some time exploring and clambering over these. After lunch we continue along the Cleveland Way along Hasty Bank, then cross over the main road before ascending Urra Moor. This section can be boggy at times so walking boots are recommending.
We finish the walk by descending back into the village past Bilsdale Hall.
