Midlife, My Terms: Stories of Change, Choice, and Courage
Host: Uma Thana Balasingam (Founder, ELEVATE)

Info: Midlife, My Terms: Stories of Change, Choice, and Courage invites real, practical accounts from people who chose to rewrite their scripts—at home, at work, and in health.
Each story unpacks the choice points—what information they gathered, who they consulted, the trade-offs—and the small first steps that made change stick.
We’ll translate lessons into tools he/she can use right away: a simple “decision audit,” a 90-day experiment plan, and conversation scripts for a boss, partner, or doctor.
Come for the honesty; leave with a clear playbook—and the belief that midlife isn’t a crisis but a stage he/she can shape on his or her own terms.

🕑: 10:50 AM - 11:50 AM
Demystifying Midlife Wellness: A Discussion on Menopause and Andropause
Host: Dr Nav Uppal (Corporate Doctor | Medical Advisor Surety)

Info: Demystifying Midlife Wellness: A Discussion on Menopause and Andropause in Workplaces cuts through jargon and myths, turning a “private health issue” into a clear performance, safety, and culture conversation.
We unpack how symptoms can show up on the job—sleep loss, brain fog, mood shifts—and what that means for he/she in frontline, creative, and leadership roles, without “diagnosing at work.”
The goal: equip leaders and teams to respond with empathy and evidence, so he/she can perform, progress, and feel supported through midlife.

🕑: 11:50 AM - 12:50 PM
Networking Lunch
🕑: 12:50 PM - 01:50 PM
Mind & Rest Synergy: Expert Insights on Mental Health and Sleep Hygiene
Host: Martine Hill (Clinical Counsellor, Alliance Counselling)

Info: Demystifying Midlife Wellness: Mind & Rest Synergy connects the dots between mental health, sleep hygiene, and on-the-job performance in midlife.
We’ll clarify how hormonal shifts, workload stress, and circadian disruption affect focus, mood, and recovery—without “diagnosing at work,” and with respect for privacy and choice.
Experts will translate science into simple changes any team can adopt: light and noise hygiene, shift/meeting timing, micro-breaks, and digital-after-hours norms.

🕑: 01:50 PM - 02:50 PM
Work in Progress: Building Midlife-Inclusive Cultures
Host: Batya Shulman (Partner, St. James Place)

Info: Work in Progress: Building Midlife-Inclusive Cultures in Workplaces explores how companies move from good intent to day-to-day practice.
Leaders from Standard Chartered and S&P Global will share what shifted their approach—policy tweaks, manager training, and listening to midlife employees—and where they’re still learning.
We’ll examine the business case—retention, safety, and performance—and the human case: dignity at work when he/she is navigating perimenopause, menopause, and andropause.
Expect honest debate on privacy, language, and the line between support and medical advice, with examples of what helped conversations land with HR, unions, and line managers.
If your organisation is midway on this journey, this session offers clear signposts from peers who are building cultures where he/she can thrive in midlife—quietly, respectfully, and for the long haul.

🕑: 02:50 PM - 03:20 PM
Tea Break and Focused Discussions
🕑: 03:20 PM - 03:50 PM
Before Her Time: Early Menopause and Why It Matters
Host: Dr Narasimhan K (Principal Investigator, A*STAR)

Info: Rethinking the Clock: Early Menopause & the Modern Workforce brings the lived reality of earlier-than-expected menopause into the boardroom, the shop floor, and the project stand-up.
We explore how sudden shifts in hormones, sleep, and cognition can collide with career milestones—promotions, fertility planning, caregiving—and why “check-in, not diagnose” is the rule for managers.
Unpack the privacy, language, and stigma traps that keep he/she silent, and how respectful conversations with bosses, partners, and clinicians actually begin.
We examine where policy meets culture: performance reviews that account for health transitions, benefits navigation that doesn’t out someone, and leadership pathways that keep mid-career momentum intact.
If your organisation wants to retain skilled talent when the timeline shifts, this session reframes early menopause as a workforce strategy issue—so he/she can stay, grow, and lead on his or her terms.

🕑: 03:50 AM - 04:50 PM
Ally is a Verb: How Men Can Champion Midlife Conversations
Host: Peter Sheren (Director, Goldman Sachs)

Info: Ally is a Verb: How Men Can Champion Midlife Conversations in Workplaces reframes allyship from quiet support to visible, respectful action.
We’ll unpack what it means to show up—listening first, asking with curiosity, and avoiding labels like “PMS-ing” or “menopause” at work.
The panel , comprising of senior leaders from Goldman Sachs, Standard Chartered, Citi and DHR Global explores everyday moments where allies matter: 1:1 check-ins, meeting dynamics, project pacing, and how he/she can back a colleague without breaching privacy.
You’ll hear candid reflections from partners, managers, and peers on what helped trust grow and where missteps taught better ways forward.
Come ready to rethink language, power, and presence—so midlife conversations can happen with dignity and respect across the organisation.
