After the September break, Indoor skating makes its exciting return on 26th October 2025 with the Midlands Club Race.
Hosted by Midlands Roller Speed Club (MRSC) at Hinckley Leisure Centre, this event features sprint, middle and long distance races; whether you're a seasoned category racer or a fresh-faced Novice, there’s a lane for you. And yes… the legendary MRSC Alternative Course is back — the club's staple race that brings the heat every time.
This event is suitable for new and experienced skaters alike, with skaters placed into categories according to their ability. For the very youngest skaters and those entirely new to the sport, there is a novice category. For those adult skaters who do not meet the speed requirements of the faster categories, but feel uncomfortable competing against children, Category 2A is the place for you. Please note that electronic or live timing is not available at this event.
For the category races, skaters earn points according to their finishing position in each race. The winner gains 1 point, second place 2 points, and so forth. At the end of the race meeting the skater with the least points across the category races is the winner of their category. There will be a raffle on the day; make sure you enter for your chance to win some great prizes.
Helmets are a mandatory requirement for all FISS affiliated events. As with any activity, there is a risk of injury therefore please wear suitable protective equipment according to your needs/ability.
Registration closes on 19th October 2025 at midnight. There will be no late or on the day registration with the exception of novice skaters, who we would encourage to enter online wherever possible.
