About this Event

This is an event to help maintain the trees we have planted at this site over the last four years.
We will be checking tree guards, removing grasses from inside tree guards and removing tree guards where the trees have grown well. We will also be putting down more woodchip mulch. We need volunteers to help us make a success of the day, covering as much of the site as we can.
On the Day:
The Middleton Wood Meadow Community maintenance day is Saturday 16th November 2024. We will meet onsite at 10am where full instructions and tools will be provided.
Depending on how we get on, we will aim to be finished by 1pm.
We would like to see lots of people come along to help us maintain the site. This is an open-air event so please dress for cold and potentially damp weather, please wear stout boots or shoes, bring gardening gloves.
No experience is required, full instruction will be given. The aim is to have fun while helping the environment.
This is a family-friendly event; however, there are no facilities in the immediate area. Please bring your own refreshments. Sorry, NO TOILET FACILITIES will be available at the site.
All under 16's to be accompanied by an adult.
W e love dogs, this activity is not for them. Please leave your dog at home.

Equipment will be provided and will be available when you arrive.
Covid compliance:
We will operate the event in a Covid compliant manner based on the rules applicable at the time.
Getting to the planting site:
We would really appreciate it if you were able to walk or cycle or use public transport if you can.
If you need to travel by car, we ask you use the car park at Milton Keynes Village Hall, postcode MK10 9AF. Please plan to arrive 10 minutes before the start time to allow for a walk to the site.
Someone will meet you at the car park and guide you to the planting site.
