What’s involved in a Middle-earth Strategy Battle Game Demo Day you ask?Well, as those of us who love Wargaming know, getting into the game can be seem pretty daunting to new players or even those with a casual interest in the game/hobby. How do you build the models? How do you paint them? How do you even PLAY THE GAME? It can be a lot to take in all at once and we don’t want that to get in the way of all the fun the game has to offer! The purpose of the Demo day is to help people learn the basics of all, of the above. To answer the questions everyone wants to ask and isn’t sure they have time for, and even a few they didn’t even know where to begin asking! Often-times, it can be difficult to find someone to answer these questions, or time to show you the ropes. We want to take the stress out of learning a great game and help people join our community.
What is Middle-earth Strategy Battle Game? The Middle-earth Strategy Battle Game is the tabletop game for two or more players where you play through the events from The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit with your collection of Citadel miniatures. Take control of your favourite heroes, villains, and armies, recreate scenes from the movies and books, and gather your forces together to do battle with your opponent in a test of wits and prowess.
Demos:
We will have a few tables set-up so people can come in and learn the rules of the game, and generally just hit the ground running!
We will have pre-built/painted forces from Middle-earth at the ready to tear each other to ribbons at your beck and call (as well as people to help you figure out the ruleset). So, if you ever wanted to learn the game itself, or are just curious about coming back to the game with its new ruleset after a break, this will be a great opportunity to jump back in.
Paint and take:
We provide the miniature, cutters, glue, paint and brushes!* We even provide a helpful experienced miniatures builder to help you along! You get to paint a miniature and then take it home! It is that simple.
We will have a large number of models for people to come in and learn the basics of how to paint your warriors. For a lot of people, the most daunting step in picking up a game like Warhammer Age of Sigmar, is the build and paint. We are here to demystify that process, show you how easy it can be to do, and how fun it can be. We hope it will be a great time for new players to learn, vets to swap techniques, and fun to be had by all.
