Middle Earth needs heroes! Odyssey Games is proud to host the Great Lakes Hobbit League, a community effort to bring the Middle Earth Strategy Battle Game to the forefront of miniature wargaming. Battle with the famous characters of Tolkein’s classic like Aragorn or Sauron across epic battlefields. Command armies for good or evil and claim your place in Middle Earth.For this month’s adventure, we are wrapping up the year with a fun celebration of MESBG! This month will be a classic 600 point tournament! Core rules for list building is all you need to construct your list. To keep it simple, missions will use a basic Veto system to allow players better control over the mission they are playing.
The Great Lakes Hobby League will wrap up the year with a lovely potluck as well! This will be the “Hobby” portion of the final tournament here. Bringing in a potluck food item will also get you a free reroll of a single die per game!

— SCHEDULE
• Doors Open - 11:00am
• Round 1 - 11:30am
• Lunch Break - 1:30pm
• Round 2 - 2:00pm
• Round 3 - 4:00pm
* The Round times will be dependent on how fast the games go and how swiftly each round can be setup. The times are approximations. Tournament should end at approximately 6:00pm after prizes are given out.
— EVENT STRUCTURE
• 3 Rounds Swiss Pairing.
• 2 Hour round timer
*20 minute warning indicates the current round will finish and players will not begin another.
-Scenarios will be taken from the Core Rulebook and Matched Play Guide.
—PLAYER REQUIREMENTS & EXPECTATIONS
-Players must bring:
• All rules (digital or physical) for your army.
• Tools & Accessories necessary to play the game & your army.
• Fully Assembled models that clearly represent your army. Up to 25% of your relative army must be constructed from Games Workshop products.
• One legal army rosters of 600 points from the current Matched Play ruleset.
• The Hobby Potluck is not required, but any player who wishes to bring a dish must do so in a safe container.
The TO will provide:
• Tables and Terrain setup for matches.
• Clear and visible round timer.
• Cards for determining scenarios & corresponding objective markers as needed
— PRIZING
• Store Credit is awarded to the top standings. Additional prizes and trophies awarded as available from the TO.
