Any help is much appreciated. Members’ voluntary work is needed to maintain our assets if we are to keep our membership fees down. Tools and resources as well as instruction will be provided but if you do have your own tools for these tasks, please bring them along. The full list of current jobs is available online but here is a sample of the jobs we could deal to this weekend:
· 17 Optimist Rudders to be disassembled, filled/repaired, sanded and painted.
· 15 new Optimist centreboards to be sanded/painted. (Bring more semi-orbital sanders).
· Fibreglass repairs to two 420s and the Phase 2. Gelcoat/tint/tape/sandpaper provided)
· Cut & Polish fibreglass on 420s and Phase 2
· Two repairs to holes in T&G flooring (materials and tools supplied)
· Pump up beach trolley tyres and replace axles where needed.
· Remove water damage to toilet door (cut bottom off and re-seal)
· Remove inspection ports and re-seal (drill out pop rivets)
· Check all Opti beach trollies tyres/axles and fix as needed.
· Clean and prep some internal doors for painting (a few saw horses required)
· Prepare and paint some window frames
· Some general clubhouse housekeeping.
· Opti Shed housekeeping.
