About this Event

Being cool with inner stillness.

A shift in consciousness from doing and thinking and being completely aware of the present moment. (Being)

When we are constantly focusing on objects, people, things, places and living in what is known as fight or flight, survival mode, as we all do, the brain will assimilate situations at hand, and so the brain gets very incoherent. When we meditate, we calibrate, our mind clears, we begin to raise our vibration and we begin to bring everything into line and improve.

Meditation is where we can begin to reprogram the autonomic nervous system, and begin to heal ourselves on a physiological, emotional and psychological basis. We become more organized, synchronized and integrated.

Safety in meditation

Meditation is currently practiced widely across the globe and is now used in schools, hospitals, city councils and the workplace to promote well-being. Evidence that the practice of meditation brings health benefits has allowed the Health service to incorporate mindfulness meditation-based techniques to treat numerous mental and physical conditions.

However, meditation can trigger a variety of unexpected negative psychological or adverse, effects that participants ought to be aware of. These reactions can possibly occur to the beginner as well as the experienced meditation practitioner.

If any of the following reactions occur during of after the meditation has ended stop the practice immediately and alert your well-being instructor:

· Increased anxiety or panic attacks

· Mood deterioration or a worsening depression

· Feelings of disorientation, disassociation or depersonalisation

· Visual and auditory hallucinations

· Lack of focus and hyperactive behaviour

· Remembering difficult or traumatic memories

Many people practise meditation without such adverse reactions but occasionally someone may experience adverse effects with the most serious symptoms being relatively uncommon. There could be causal connections triggered by past traumas and memories of unpleasant circumstances.

If at this session there are further concerns around your mental state, arrangements must be made to be collected by a relative or friend to get you home safely. If symptoms persist consult your trusted Doctor or seek advice from your trusted spiritual instructor.
