Welcome to the Mid Autumn Festival - Lantern Walking Tour @ Telok Ayer!
Mid-Autumn Festival, IS also commonly known as the Lantern Festival. It is celebrated around the world by many Chinese, and now even the non - Chinese. Yet, do you know why is it call the Mid - Autumn Festival?
Unknown to many, Mid - Autumn is a time for family reunion, friends gathering, celebrations and thanksgiving. As much as it is a joyous occasion, it there is a certain fear following after the festival!.
Traditionally, Mid Autum Festival is one of the 8 main Chinese Festivals. On this day, the Chinese worshipped not only to the Moon Goddess, but also the Earth Diety and "Yue Lao" who is believed to be responsible for all fate and marriages on this world.
So as the night fall upon, let us gather together with family and friends, bringing back the days of the yesteryears as we carry a traditional lantern down the historical site of Telok Ayer (Chinatown) while understanding more about his folk religious practices revolving them. You can either bring your own lantern or allow us to provide one for you! Best if you have your own hand made lantern!
Mid Autum is not complete without having lantern riddles. Along the way, challenge yourselves to some of these riddles as our guide share them with you!
Embark on this Cultural and Heritage Tour as we learn more about this festival and its cultural practices. At the same time. enjoy the festive vibes with the beautiful skyline as our backdrop. If we are in luck, we get to "moon - gaze" together as one!

6. In the event that the ticket holder is unable to attend the event, tickets are non-refundable.
